Life Groups
Life Groups Are For Everyone
We believe our church must grow larger and smaller at the same time. It grows larger as we faithfully share the Gospel, bringing hope to those in need and welcoming Christ-followers into the family of God. At the same time, it becomes smaller as we focus on discipleship, fostering deeper relationships, and sharing life together in small groups.
At Summerville Baptist, we believe spiritual growth happens best in community. In these spaces, people can learn, serve, and care for one another, building relationships that strengthen their faith and transform lives.
What is a Life Group?
SB Life Groups are designed for everyone—from teens through senior adults. These groups provide a place to connect, grow, and live out your faith in practical and meaningful ways.
Life Groups are the heartbeat of our church. They offer environments where friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and lives are truly impacted.
The Purpose
Our Life Groups exist for four key purposes:

Evangelism
Reaching out to those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior, sharing the Good News, and inviting them into a life-changing relationship with Him. -
Discipleship
Teaching and applying biblical truth to everyday life. This helps believers grow in their faith and become more like Christ. -
Ministry
Caring for one another and meeting practical needs. Whether inside or outside the church, we aim to demonstrate God’s love in tangible ways. -
Missions
Actively serving our local community and beyond. By living out our faith, we make a lasting impact on the world.
For Every Stage of Life
We offer a variety of Life Groups to meet the unique needs of our church family. These include:
- Ongoing Sunday morning groups that meet on campus.
- Weekday home groups for fellowship, connection, and study.
- Short-term studies that focus on specific discipleship or service opportunities.
These groups create space for connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth, no matter your stage of life.
